Satilla Probation Management at 306 Bedell Avenue A, Woodbine, Georgia.

Satilla Probation is actually comprised of personnel that are not real probation officers. The requirement is a two year degree which some have obtained through online sham schools like University of Phoenix and so on. They have no real training! The So called Probation Officer they have in Folkston, GA actually smokes more pot then most of the people on probation! Don't ask me how I know this, just consider this a good source, believe me it is! There are no real programs there for offenders, all they worry about is collecting your fines and money that actually goes to Satilla Probation. DUI programs are there, but not enforced if you just pay your money and move on quickly. The judges are fantastic in the Folkston area, but entirely unaware of what is really going on and sadly enough, go off of what the dope smoking PO suggest. They claim to have "real" probation officers, but will quickly change the subject if you ask for their credentials. No, I am not a disgruntled probationer, and I have never been in trouble with the law, just take it from me, this company needs to be audited and held accountable for the way that they handle their business. If you have ever had to go to court for a traffic fine and could not pay at the time, you know what I am talking about, this company will gladly take you on as a probationer, treat you as a criminal, drug test you and make you pay additional charges for the test, keep in mine, that drugs had absolutely no context on why you ended up on probation, and the charges for being on probation will be just as much or even more than your fines! And believe me, they will get their money. It is very sad to see people being pulled back into court for revocation of probation because they were unable to pay for their fines due to lack of income. They have no heart and will lie by setting up a drug test and say that you missed it, anything other than tell the judge that you just weren't able to pay for the fines. Very bad company, very bad ethics, and very bad for our county. I currently work for the state and am very ashamed for working there. Shame on this company for ripping off the counties and the people!
